What's happening to our beloved nation ?

What's happening to our beloved nation ? Can our leader keep focussed on his job ? Why does an ex-leader keep distracting his successor with his whining and tauntings ? He cannot accept the reality that he is not in charge anymore. He expects his successor to walk in his footprints. Or that his associates lost out to the new leader's associates. Why insult and humiliate ? In front of his former political foes, who are now so enthralled by his oratorial performances. In front of foreign pressmen, who once reviled him. Is that the way for a very distinguished, highly respected former leader to behave ? What happened to that dignified Malay/Malaysian culture of politeness and courtesy ? Does it pleases him to be likened as a scruffy street fighter. If he feels unhappy about his successor's work, engage him and advise like a father. More good will come from that, than going round the country, insulting your succesor, his family and friends. Age is catching up on us, so retire gracefully, make peace with God and ask for His forgiveness and blessings.

What's happening to our beloved nation ?

Can our leader keep focussed on his job ?

Correction: Can our leader keep focussed on reasons and interest of the nations before emotion and family interest?

Why does an ex-leader keep distracting his successor with his whining and tauntings ?

Correction: Why does a distinguished ex-leader and more so a citizen be denied his right to remind his leaders who are not absolved from error and neglect and habitually fall asleep in the public?

He cannot accept the reality that he is not in charge anymore.

Correction: He accept the reality that he is not incharge but could not accept the fact that citizen has to be denied the right to question/enquire its leaders and party member is not allowed to talk to its members.

He expects his successor to walk in his footprints.

Correction: He only expects any successor to maintain the ideology and struggle of UMNO in Governing, the practise and tradition of UMNO to maintain continuity and seek enhancement, AND definately NOT to compromise the interest of the nation.

Or that his associates lost out to the new leader's associates.

Correction: Or that his more concern not of new leader's associate but inner family nepotism and shaming the country and government for dishonouring agreements and contracts.

Why insult and humiliate? In front of his former political foes, who are now so enthralled by his oratorial performances. In front of foreign pressmen, who once reviled him.

Correction: Why be scared and refuse to answer? Unless one is guilty of accused, then one generate excuse. Unless one is riddled with fear that truth be known, then one block and spoil honest patriot talking to voice concerns with uninhibited abuse of power.

Is that the way for a very distinguished, highly respected former leader to behave?

Correction: Is that the way a pious looking leader, using goons and abuse instead of reasons and courteous arguments. Isn't it not the way for the new era of openness, transparency, and accountability for all to say without fear and favour, and not a true leader to bear with a listening ear and without anger and vengence.

What happened to that dignified Malay/Malaysian culture of politeness and courtesy?

Correction: The dignified Malay/Malaysian culture of politeness and courtesy would respect the elders, not to physically harass (spray) a weakling old man, and obligingly hear the view of not only a respected older man but a statesmen. yes, what happened to that disgnified Malay/malaysian culture.

Does it pleases him to be likened as a scruffy street fighter.

Corrrection: No, it does not please him to have to hit the street. Should it be needed, then when at stake is the sovereignty of the country and succumbing our honour and respect, without questions, SO BE IT!!!

If he feels unhappy about his successor's work, engage him and advise like a father.

Correction: If he feels unhappy, why didn't the later respectfully visit the former as an elder, to seek advise and guide and, oblige to listen and hear? Before our very eyes that momentous evening TV interview that we witness arrogance and we see stubborness. For he does not want to be engage and he will deny when advised. For he spoil his children and in laws, for how naughty they have been, they are never wrong. Many have engage and advise, those many have failed and fell out of favour. Oh ... I pity us, if we take the convenient route to deny.

More good will come from that, than going round the country, insulting your succesor, his family and friends.

Correction: More good come, but will and have it come? By that time we let prolong further concessions and treasons to be left victorious. And, certainly more good will come, if we understand why Omar raised his sword to Abu Bakar, to warn he will question any wrong that he to do. There is the telling and there is the sword. No sword have Tun raised. He must not die like the statesmen Tun Ghaffar insulted by this latter till his sould left his body.

Age is catching up on us, so retire gracefully, make peace with God and ask for His forgiveness and blessings.

Correction: Age is coming up and more amalan and ibadah to be performed. Is not that life long submission and dedication for the service and interest of the nation not one? What good is the ritual amalan and ibadah, if kemungkaran is let to prevail? And, what good is the ritual amalan and ibadah, if we understand and see a decay but left the rotting to proceed, for fear of what the ignorance, naive and misguided would say?

PakShah, lets not be guided by conventional and predictable reactions thats a result of applied mental manipulation.

But lets be guided by thoughts and decision thats enlightened by the light of knowledge and truth in the moulding for righteousness, honesty, conveyance, and wisdom - siddeq, amanah, tabligh, and fatanah.

May you be guided. Amen

Its funny to find people of intelligence who can become ignorant of the fact that there will be changes in the leadership of a country. They just can't accept the fact thus they try to ridicule everything the present government does. Top of it all they use a former leader to gain influence for their cause. I regret to say that this has tarnished the good name of the former leader, but what do they care. Is this what they call patriotic? If I am that former leader I'd be ashamed of myself.

Conclusion without analysis and fact? Psychological and intentional speculations over thoroughly argued issues issues?

Care to admit? Mana titah patik junjung? A serf blindly obeying his Malay lord?

Just singing Ahli Fikir's Angguk2 Geleng2 song?

Pick one.

Does a citizen's opinion not to be respected for what it is?

Does it ever occur that a person's opinion is a person's opinion?

Does it seemed unfair that person's personally generated opinion have to be branded and accused of association with certain people just becasue they happen to write the same stuff?

Does that mean it is fair for me to assume that my opinion and critique does not have any merit because it is similar to certain people? Then is it fair for me to demerit Islam Hadhari because 2 glaring objectives are echoing the voice of Human Right Activist with sinister intention on the 3rd World which need not emphasized mentioning for Islam is too clear on it?

Does it ever occur that those people you are trying to smear a negative image are professional journalist who reports and transmit the opinion of others. For all you know, what they are transmittign are opinions of the likes of many like me?

Does it occur that what you and me are doing is just part of the widely spoken slogan "open, transparent and accountable". Or is it just a fantastic slogan/ cliche and not really meant to be for practise? I do not think so. UMNO Constitution is clear on the rights of members to "tegor" and "tanya kepimpinan". The right to speak and voice in a democrasy is clearly stated in our Constitition. Opps ... sorry RPK said the same thing...now UMNO and Government cannot follow.

Does it have to be new to be credible? Even the old ones the Government are not answering and ppl like you supposedly defending the Government position are not conveying the answers! Respect people's intelligence.

PakShah, rather than blogging to express an unsubstantiated conclusion and perpetuating typical unthinking Melayu mindset like "jaga hati", "dah tua tu pencen", abiding the norm thinking, etc without clear disseminating of the What, Why, When, Whom, and How, then use your ENglish writing ability to write about your daily and family life.

It is clearly beyond you.

This is my and only my voice. Similarities are coincidental.

So you and like minded others share the same opinions.I have no problem with that.
So do I and like minded others share the same views. You shouldn't have a problem with that.
But do not try to advise me on what I write. This is my personal blog.If it bugs you, thats your business.
Write your own blog then.I'll be waiting to read it.

If I had gone overboard to tell you what you can and cannot write, my apologies.

For a believer in true openness, transparency and accountability, I shouldn't be saying such things.

If it gives you great discomfort to get comments like me, who has no problem engaging, then you can moderate the comments and even censured me out.

Otherwise it is fair game.

a voice - your comments are just as skewed as the rest who will not or do not see beyond strong rhetorics. if you feel so strongly - reveal thyself, make a difference. comments on little known blogs like this will not change anything. it only instigates other small minded and less vocal people to share an ideology, expound on ot but never act in a positive way on it. it gets t i r e d after a while.
