Law vs Religion
That Malay lady left her original religion (Islam) by her own choice. She's happy with her new religion and looks like she's never going back to Islam.
To avoid 'inconveniences' to her family, she applied to deregister the religion Islam on her identity card. But our government officers found her case too hot to handle and pushed it to the courts.
To the highest court in the land went her appeal. Presided by the three highest ranking judges in the country. The collective verdict was 2 Noes and 1 Yes. No, she can't deregister her religion as stated in her IC.
There might be some others like her,but they are not bold enough to admit.
They would rather let the religious authorities and their family members play `tug of war'
with their corpses when they die. Would they ?
